The Arnhem 1944 Fellowship - A Charity preserving the bond of friendship and history for future generations.

Welcome to the Arnhem 1944 Fellowship Website

“You took us into your homes as fugitives and friends:
We took you forever into our hearts.
This strong bond will continue long after we are all gone.”

('To the people of Gelderland' - Inscription on the Stone of Friendship Memorial at Oosterbeek)

We are a charity registered in the UK which works to preserve the bonds of friendship forged in Battle and to preserve the history of the Battle of Arnhem.

You can support the work of the charity by becoming a member of the charity (small fee payable) or making a donation.

Members receive around six newsletters a year, the opportunity to take part in battlefield tours and events and have the opportunity to buy certain books at a discount and indeed certain booklets have only been offered to Fellowship members.

In recent years the Fellowship has had a marquee in a prime location on Ginkel Heath during the annual parachute drop in September which is closed off to the general public to which Arnhem veterans are invited. Members obviously also have access to this area and have the opportunity to meet veterans and other members in a relaxed atmosphere.

The trustees will be happy to receive applications from organisations and individuals if they have projects they wish the Fellowship to support. Any applications received will be considered by the Committee and must be in line with the Fellowship's purposes and aims.

If you are a veteran, a relative or friend and you would like a story or biography portrayed here please contact us by email at: info@arnhem1944fellowship.org
